Role & Responsibilities:

Ø Inspect and provide recommendation / quality plan to carryout corrective actions (replacement or repair) for concerns / failures related to static equipment of Urea, Ammonia & Utility plants based on the inspection findings.

Ø Leading many TA and SD as an inspection focal point during the present tenure.

Ø Prepare critical repairs of static equipment in accordance with API-510, API 653 and NBIC.

Ø Perform the RBI analysis of stationary equipment as per SABIC methodology via Meridium and develop the inspection plan. Prepare the scope of work for stationary equipment emphasis of inspection plan, inspection recommendation & required inspection resources and aligned stakeholder for necessary execution.

Ø Work in SAP to view and close all the assigned notification in SAP. Well versed in using SAP PM module transactions like IW21, IW22, IW28 and IW42

Ø Evaluate/ensure static equipment integrity like (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks etc.) and piping of the SAN complex by various NDE’s.

Ø Determine remaining service life of equipment’s and piping based on the inspection findings.

Ø Provide Inspection Test Plan to vendors / contractors while procurement of new equipment/piping/fittings and to carry out stage wise inspection activities during its fabrication, provide material specifications and ensuring modification/repairs of static equipment/pipelines comply with the relevant international codes and standards.

Ø Provide quality plan, clearly mentioning inspection hold points to vendors before fabrication of new equipment, which are to be installed in the plant as part of MOC process or new project execution.

Ø Prepare Inspection Package for static equipment’s before Turn around / Shutdown.

Ø Review WPS / PQR submitted by vendors / contractors, Witness welder qualification tests.

Shutdown Experience

Ø internal inspections of various pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, storage tanks.

Ø cross country piping and intelligent pigging for ensuring the integrity of NG lines from Aramco Header.

Ø Prepare inspection findings, observation and recommendation. Visual inspection of tubes, tube sheet and channel for exchangers. Issuing field inspection note for hydro jetting, Videoscopic inspection at random to check the condition of tubes after cleaning, DPT/thickness measurement, advance NDT inspection MFL/ET/IRIS as required. Pressure test to check the integrity of tubes if hydro jetting is completed or if any repair activities, (tube plugged/welded). Lining work for channel, nozzle area.

Ø Prepare reports of the inspection findings and provided recommendations / quality plan for corrective actions based on the observations. Reviewed NDT reports to calculate the remaining thickness and give recommendations accordingly.

Ø Responsible for inspection activities for tank construction as per the approved ITP. Monitor daily construction activities and inspecting work in progress with IFC drawing and API 650 standards.

Ø Various emergency Moc’s during S/D and TA to ensure the integrity of the equipment.

Ø Ensuring all the RCA recommendation implementation in the Turnarounds and shutdowns.

Ø Visual Inspection of bottom plate welds, vertical shell and horizontal shell welds, annular plates, roof welds, nozzle welding, structural welds etc as per the project specification.

Ø Peaking, Banding, Plumbness, Roundness and levelness of tank shell plates, tank orientation & circumference, nozzle alignment & MPT for nozzle, reinforcement pads, and DPT for touch up areas.

Ø Dimensional check of shell plates, neck plates, reinforcement pads, cover plates, annular plates, roof plates, pontoon plates as per the tank fabrication drawing.

Ø inspection for vacuum box testing for bottom and roof plates, pneumatic testing for reinforcement pads as per the project specification and API 650.  

Ø Inspect static equipment and piping of ammonia, urea, and UFC plants in accordance with predetermined schedule or in emergency shutdowns. Analyzed the abnormal conditions observed during inspection, predicted its probable root cause and provided the recommendations for long-term remedial action.  

Ø Ensure all the outstanding recommendations are closed during TA and S/D’s as per IRET (Inspection Recommendation Execution Tracking)
